My father was in the Refrigeration business back when I was growing up. In 1970 when I was only 10 years old, he would sometimes take me on jobs with him and I basically acted as his gopher. But I liked it alot. I'd run back to the truck to get tools or parts or to fill up his Freon bottles. He'd get me to do menial tasks like checking pressure lines for Freon leaks with a torch and removing and replacing the doors to the rooftop units he was working on. I was glad to help and I was kind of learning about what he was doing.

Growing up in Scarborough in the 1970’s & 1980’s, I had no idea that my future would be in the air duct cleaning industry. As every Canadian boy, I thought I would be playing for the Leafs in the N.H.L. Close… but no cigar. During the summer break when I was 13 & 14, I worked as a helper for my neighbor who was an oil burner mechanic for Esso. I learned a lot from him doing simple tasks and basically just watching. Little did I know my future was being molded back then.
